Digital Marketing Manager

Remote

Location: Remote within Colorado, with occasional time at our Rifle, Colorado shop.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt

About DM Vans

At DM Vans, we are on a mission to make van life accessible for everyone. Nestled in the mountains of Colorado, we design, build, and sell Lifestyle Vehicles® crafted for the Van Lifer, the Weekend Warrior, and everyone in between. Our team knows what life on the road actually asks of a vehicle. We're not just building vehicles; we're building an inclusive community of explorers.

Role Overview

The Digital Marketing Manager owns our digital funnel from first click to signed deposit. You run the channels, the website and van-builder tool, and the data underneath them, and you are the person who can tell us, honestly, what a deposit costs from every channel. Our content team owns what DM Vans says. You own where it goes, what it costs, and whether it converts.

This is a hands-on-keyboard role, not an agency-management role, and it is a marketing mind, not a spreadsheet seat: we want your campaign ideas in the room, proven out with data. This role is roughly 30% paid media and channel management, 25% website and builder-tool conversion, 20% data, attribution, and reporting, 15% lifecycle and email, and 10% planning and cross-team coordination.

30% paid media & channel management   25% website & builder-tool conversion   20% data, attribution & reporting   15% lifecycle & email   10% planning & cross-team coordination

We are a small, hands-on team. Everyone contributes. Everyone helps get it done. We run open books, your scoreboard is reviewed with the whole team every week, and we value trust, flexibility, and work-life balance. When one of us wins, we all do.

DM Vans Core Values

  1. Assertive and Open-Minded: Encourage open communication, confident decision-making, and the ability to listen and adapt.
  2. Self-Aware: Demonstrate understanding of personal strengths and areas for improvement.
  3. Ambitious: Continuously strive for excellence in individual performance and company-wide objectives.
  4. Authentic: Lead with sincerity and genuine care for team members and customers.
  5. Not Assholes: Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment where kindness thrives.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Media & Channel Management (30%)

  • Create, manage, and optimize online advertising campaigns end to end: strategy, builds, budgets, bids, and creative rotation.
  • Run structured creative testing with our content team. The shop floor gives us authentic footage most brands would kill for; your job is to find out what it is worth.
  • Bring campaign concepts of your own: hooks, offers, and angles, each with a hypothesis and a way to measure it.
  • Manage budget pacing and channel mix across search, social, and the outdoor and van life media world, and vet new channels with a business case attached.

Website & Builder-Tool Conversion (25%)

  • Treat dmvans.com and our van-builder tool as conversion assets: instrument the full path from session to builder start to quote to deposit, and publish conversion rates weekly.
  • Run a continuous A/B testing program on landing pages, builder flow, and calls to action.
  • Maintain the site on WordPress (GeneratePress) today, and co-lead our migration to an Astro + Sanity site, owning tracking, SEO continuity, and conversion parity through the cutover.
  • Own technical and local SEO: site architecture, schema, internal linking, Google Business Profile and reviews, plus AI-answer visibility, so DM Vans shows up wherever buyers actually search.

Data, Attribution & Reporting (20%)

  • Own the marketing data layer: GA4, Google Tag Manager, UTM discipline, and CRM integrity in Odoo.
  • Keep pipeline stages clean enough that the demand forecast runs on numbers finance can certify.
  • Publish the weekly marketing scoreboard: cost per qualified lead and CAC by channel, marketing-sourced deposits, builder conversion, and pipeline health. Good news or bad.
  • Own the martech stack. Evaluate, consolidate, and kill what we don't use.

Lifecycle & Email (15%)

  • Build and run the nurture engine for a months-long purchase: lead follow-up sequences, builder-abandon flows, and waitlist and event follow-ups, in Odoo and Mailchimp.
  • Own the owner lifecycle after the sale: onboarding, service and accessory flows, reactivation, and referral asks.
  • Partner with our Sales and Marketing Coordinator so every logged lead enters a cadence and none goes more than 30 days without contact.

Planning & Cross-Team Coordination (10%)

  • Build the quarterly demand plan with the Director of Sales & Marketing: the deposit target, the channel mix that hits it, and the budget that funds it.
  • Feed the sales team what the data sees: which campaigns produce buyers, which configurations people build and abandon, where pricing questions spike.
  • Spec conversion-side sales tools, like comparison sheets and financing explainers, designed with the content team.
  • Coordinate with Events & PR so digital amplifies every activation.

Flexibility & Growth

This role changes with the company. Some weeks you will be deep in the ad accounts, others you will be rebuilding a landing page, pulling apart attribution, or in Rifle with the team planning the quarter. You will see exactly how marketing, sales, and production fit together, because your scoreboard depends on all three. There is room to grow, take on more, and shape how this seat works. As we evolve, your opportunities will too.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of hands-on digital or performance marketing, with meaningful time at a high-ticket, considered-purchase brand where the sale takes months
  • Hands-on fluency in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, and Google Tag Manager. You own tracking yourself rather than reading an agency's report.
  • Experience building email and lifecycle automation for long sales cycles
  • Working command of WordPress, and comfort with a modern headless stack. We are migrating to Astro + Sanity.
  • Analytical by default and creatively generative: you pitch ideas, then prove them with data
  • Comfortable being measured publicly on your numbers every week
  • Comfortable in a CRM as a daily tool. We run Odoo.
  • Fluent using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) as force multipliers for analysis, drafting, and automation, not as a replacement for your creativity and human judgement.
  • Able to travel to Rifle, Colorado occasionally

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience marketing to buyers financing a large purchase
  • SQL or serious spreadsheet modeling
  • Astro, Sanity, or other headless CMS experience
  • Familiarity with Odoo or another CRM
  • Experience in the outdoor, lifestyle, or van life industries

Team KPIs

Paid Media & Budget

  • Publish CAC by channel weekly, and hold blended cost per qualified lead at or below the target we calibrate together
  • Keep budget pacing on plan each month, with every channel's return visible on the scoreboard
  • Keep at least two structured creative or landing-page tests live at all times

Conversion & Lifecycle

  • Grow builder-start to deposit conversion quarter over quarter
  • Every logged lead enters a cadence, with no lead going more than 30 days without contact
  • Report marketing-sourced deposits weekly against the build schedule's par
  • Grow organic's share of qualified leads while holding total lead volume

Data & Reporting

  • Publish the weekly marketing scoreboard every Monday, good news or bad
  • Keep CRM pipeline stages accurate enough that the demand forecast can be built without cleanup
  • Deliver a quarterly spend and return review to the leadership team

Shared Team Responsibilities

  • These KPIs are designed to guide focus and measure impact, not to limit initiative. We will calibrate the targets together in your first 90 days, once we have real numbers in front of us. Our sales and marketing team works as one unit, with shared ownership of goals and a collective commitment to growing the company together.

Compensation & Growth

  • Base Salary: Starting at $85,000/year, depending on experience.
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Paid Time Off: This role includes FTO, in line with DM Vans’ policies.
  • Employee Ownership: Eligible for the DM Vans employee-ownership program, sharing in long-term success.
  • Schedule: Full-time, salaried, exempt. Remote within Colorado, with occasional travel to Rifle.
  • Career Path: Advancement runs through our published TRAIL program, certification-based, not tenure-based. As our volume grows and new product lines launch, this seat grows with them.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily computer-based work.
  • Able to travel to and work on-site in Rifle occasionally, including time in a shop environment around vehicles.

Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing

What We’re Looking For

If you are analytical, creatively generative, and honest with numbers, we want to hear from you. This role is for someone who lives our values, not someone aspiring to them. Our best people are grounded, emotionally intelligent, and naturally curious. They follow through, care about the details, and bring both initiative and humility to the work.

This job requires someone who wants to own an outcome, not just a channel. You will spend your day moving between an ad account, a landing page, a dashboard, and a campaign brainstorm. If you want to hand tracking to an agency and report someone else's numbers, this is not the role for you.

You do not need a van life resume to succeed here. You need to be the kind of person who checks the numbers before the narrative, tells the team the truth about what is working, and treats a marketing budget like your own money.

How to Apply

If that sounds like you, send your resume, a short note on the highest-ticket thing you have ever generated demand for, and a report or dashboard you are proud of, to digital-marketing-manager@dm-vans.odoo.com with the subject line:

“Digital Marketing Manager, [Your Name]”

Applications accepted through September 30, 2026.

DM Vans is an equal-opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
